The adventures continue...

Ha I went to a Halloween party last night. Here's some pictures when a majority of the kids were out trick or treating. Us girls thought it was too cold...so we stayed inside to play some old school Twister.

I was a very un-nerdy nerd.... haha

Then today I went to H&M to do some shopping... WOO

I really liked this outfit.... it reminded me of a little dutch boy. ha but the shirt was way to tight! and the skirt was too expensive. So cute though!

I ended up buying the Rolling Stones sweatshirt. It was only $10

Bought the skirt and striped top too!

Found this adorable lace tank top. All it was was lace, so a little showy for me. but it was cute!

my new purchases

hmmm so this morning i took pictures of what I just recently bought. Eh it was WAY too early to focus on doing my hair or putting my makeup on so you all get to see me in my all natural way. ISH. i just took tired and bleh. sorry. So yeah, I went shopping last night at like 8pm. I felt like such a rebel going shopping too close to when the stores closing... yes i live a very pathetic life. but i did play hooky. my dad thought mom and I were at the gym working out but we went shopping instead :D!

First up... this lovely floral dress. Well i don't really know if it's a dress, because it's like a t shirt kind of material but I'm wearing it as one. ha it was from URBAN for $9.99. I was surprised I bought this cuase usually i don't go for the whole floral girly look.

2. Grey top with cool racerback from Urban, $20.

third. we have this black slouchy top from Urban for $20 that has this cool tulle and stud gathering on the shoulders of the top. AND YAY! i finally got myself some grey skinny jeans from PacSun. That place has great jeans for a great price.

4th. we have a high waisted black shirt from h&M. Ya it was like $15. I got a grey jacket there too, but I'm gonna return it because it looks like I'm gonna go out for a run or a baseball game.

and last but not least I got a scarf from &M for $10 and some more skinny jeans from PacSun. I promised myself 2 weeks ago, I wouldn't buy anymore blue denim jeans because I have like 15 pairs now. and they're all skinny, However I needed to get 2 pairs for the deal. Here's some math for you. The deal was 2 for $55 (which was really good because these were normally $42.50 and the grey ones were originally $39.50), then I had a $19 merch. card, and 20% off a total purchase. So I ended up only paying $24 something for 2 pairs of jeans!
So as you can see, my style isn't the best. It's very casual and conservative compared to all you fashionistas out there. But hey, my style is "pretty out there" at my school... which makes you wonder how poorly dressed people are at my school. Haha whatever, i love em anyways.

Tonight I'm going to a party at tierney's house. It's gonna be a big party cuz she's having all her friends from the Highlana Area and all the catholic schools in the area and the people who go to hers and my school. So this will be interesting!

I just wanna say THANK YOU for all the nice comments! and even though i only ahev like 29 followers, it's a lot better than the 1 friend from school who followed me. So thanks everyone! ok corny moment over... OOXOXOX adios

a rainy visit to H&M

Today I met with a friend from school to plan our birthday party that is in 2 weeks! It's gonna be my GOLDEN birthday! woo. We have some brilliant ideas. We are gonna hang black lights all over the place, with a disco ball, and each guest gets those bracelets and necklaces that when you bend them, they start to glow! She is also developing a playlist with some of her music and my music. I gave her the family force 5 dance or die with a venange cd, and some sweet techno stuff.

(sorry for the crappy camera phone pictures)The other day, mom and I went to a nice outdoor mall near our house. Mom now goes to the Aveda Salon to get her hair cut, which I love because H&M is right across the street from it! I happily left her with the stylist, and frolicked across the street(making sure not to get run over!) I love how their window mannequins are orange and yellow. However, my brother thinks they're weird. I found tons of cute stuff that I want to buy. I am lusting over that leather moto vest... but it's $50, same with the leather jacket!

I also want a pair of combat boots. Like these ones, or maybe some yellow ones!!! haha. I also tried on 3 skirts in the dressing room. I love the grey high waisted skirt in the first outfit and it comes with the belt. The tank is really cool too (the next day while mom was getting a mesage, my brother was so kind to walk with me to H&M from the mesage palor so I could buy the tank for $3. However he complained the whole time saying his feet hurt and he was getting sun burned! It wasn't annoying, it was funny. He then told mom that we walked 14 miles to get to H&m when it was about a 15 minute walk each way. what a drama queen! lol). the skirt in the 2nd outfit is fun. It's like layered tulle. I didn't really feel like searching the store for a top that matched, so i just grabbed the first one I saw.

a day out and about

helllo everyone!
So today, my brother didn't have gymnastics so we all went out for a couple hours. Mom, brother, and I went to eat at a restaurant and I got fish tacos. I'm not a big fish fan, but I don't mind some tilapia, walleye, or salmon. The tacos were so good! They were soft shelled, had some cod, pineapple, beans, and other stuff in it. YUM!

After lunch, we went to Jamba Juice! I have to say, Jamba has the best smoothies I've tasted. They use all natural ingredients and have lots of yummy flavors. Mom wanted fresh squeezed OJ, but the machine was broken. :( She was really disapointed, so they gave me my smoothie for free. What nice people! I got the "Mango a-go-go". We stopped to get gas, and I set the cup down on the van floor... it fell over and the bottom of the cup broke. I had to then but the straw in the hole on the bottom and drink it that way. Also had to be careful juice wouldn't run out of the hole on the top where the straw is supposed to go... *sigh* Why is life so complecated?

It felt a lot warmer than it actually was. The car said is was only 72 degress, but it felt like 85. The sun was also out today, which was lovely. Decided to dress for the warm weather in a high waisted zebra print skirt from h&M, waist belt from H&M, and a purple dejeweled shirt from Old Navy. The picture kinda makes me look... fat. ARG!

Excited for "So you think you can dance" tonight. I missed it last week because of the concerts. I love that show. Good bye for now! I'll post something up soon!

new dress!

Ha ok while looking through my closet drawers, I find the skirt I wore for my first communion in 6th grade. It's a purple floral Roxy skirt that I got for $13 at TJ MAXX. I love the tulle at the bottom. So I know it's too long to wear as a skirt, so whadda I do? I pull it up to wear it as a strapless dress. Sure it's a little poofy, but I can wear something over it to hide it. i decided to see what I can use in my closet to hide all the poofyess. The black vest I got at a second hand store. It's got some vintage looking gold buttons and black lace, which I love. The one with the leather jacket and yellow belt is cool too. I wear this yellow belt a lot because it add a splash of color. I also can't wear like yellow shirts or dresses because it doesn't go with my skin tone, so I like to wear yellow accessories. Then, to clinch all the fabric together I added 3 belts. A red one, yellow, and brown all from a garage sale or thrift store. I think it has a tribal feel to it, and I love all the tribal belts the designers are doing for summer. I've always been a waist belt person. I always get comments at school wondering why I'm wearing a belt on my waist. People just don't get fashion do they? I respond, "Because it looks cool" Curvy girls should also wear waist belts because it accentuates (I totally spelled that wrong...) their waist, the smallest part of their body. I'm not saying I'm curvy, but I just like the way it looks. And for our final look, I wear a big grey vest($15) that I got at the boutique called KARMA. The triple buckle belt is from H&M($10), and the shades($.25) from a garage sale. This black belt is my favorite of them all! It's also stretchy, so if i get fat or feel bloated I can still wear it! :D

Midwestern hick???

Hello!!!! So I know this outfit may not be the most summery thing out there, but I like it. I am wearing a vintage Ralph Lauren plaid shirt that I bought at St. Vincent De Paul, a charity thrift store for $1.99. When I bought the shirt, it was weirdly perportioned. The waist was too big and the shirt too short. I fixed the waist problem, I just sewed a new but smaller hem on both side. The grey tank is from H&M for $12.95, and so are the zipper leggings! Leggings are going to be HUGE for fall, and I absolutely LOVE zippers. They just add the whole grunge rock feel to it. The nerd glasses are some broken sunglasses from Wet Seal that I got the lenses out of. I needed some nerd glasses for a movie at school, and didn't have any. Found the glasses and VOILA! I had myself a nice pair of attractive nerd glasses. The white ballet flats with bows are from an Animal Ark charity store that I got really cheap! It feels good to shop at stores where you know your money is going toward a good cause. Once. I found these adorable mustard yellow Gucci sandals there. I wanted them so bad, but at that time I didn't have any money and my mom didn't want to pay $20 on sandals! "But mom! They're Gucci!", I complained. She didnt care, and used the "your dad will kill me" card. *sigh*

So yes, I do realize that this outfit may have a... midwestern Hick feel to it, but I think it's a nice, easy, comfortable thing to wear to school or anywhere really... Plaid has become really popular now, and many stores have been putting them out on their racks. However, I DO NOT want to pay $25+ on something I can buy at a thrift store for $5 or less. Plus, it's like recycling your clothes. How green! Also, you get the real deal at thrift stores, not some new fake plaid shirt.
